And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— 23 therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. 24 So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.

Spirit beings live forever.  The father didn’t want Adam and Eve to live in sin forever so He took drastic measures to keep them out of the garden near the tree of life, for Satan would probably try to tempt them into eating of the tree and being like him. My point is if Jesus pre-existed, He couldn’t die according to this scripture above… Interesting!!!

Bible 101 First Chapter 1 verse

If we get the first verse wrong, we misunderstand the rest of the Bible, and the COGs have been maligned with this since the modern era of the COG.  The WWPOG can understand this if they have any interest, or have the mentality for learning as a little child does.  It all begins in Gen.1:1, not John 1:1.  If you misunderstand Genesis, you can’t understand John.  The unteachable Shining Light author screens out anyone who disagrees with him, so you never hear the rest of the story. Someone should ask him why, and have him publicly state his misunderstanding of The Most High God.

Shining Light Author James Malm writes below:

Mark Michelson allows that Jesus preexisted his human birth but insists that God the Father was exclusively the LORD of Hosts and that God the Father was exclusively YHVH. Both positions being absolutely wrong.
Mark is sugar coating the heresy with a semblance of truth by admitting the pre-existence of Christ. James  Jesus did not preexist

Jesus Own words Mark 10:18
So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is  good but One, that is, God. Here Jesus separate’s himself from the one, “singular” not family God and here the old testament states Psalm 25:8

Psalm 52:1

Psalm 100:5

Clearly David knew that his God was the Father, for only He is good, as Jesus stated above. I can’t find a single verse in the old testament where Jesus is speaking to Israel or the forefathers. The father is the only God of both testaments and he is the only one who is truly God John 17;3 and His son Jesus was his only begotten son. The father had a son, because he didn’t have a son and his mother Mary bore this son for who? The Most High God.

No One has seen the Father

Isaiah 64:4
For since the beginning of the world Men have not heard nor perceived by the ear, Nor has the eye seen any God besides You, Who acts for the one who waits for Him.

John 1:18
No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.

1 John 4:12
[ Seeing God Through Love ] No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us.

John 14:7
“If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”

Did John the Baptist hear Gods voice ?

Matthew 3:16-17New King James Version (NKJV)
16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He[a] saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. 17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased!  Mark 1:11 Then a voice came from heaven, “You are My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

Peter, James, John heard!

Jesus Transfigured on the Mount
Matt.17:1-5  Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; 2 and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. 3 And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. 4 Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us[a] make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
5 While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!”  Was John referring to a Physical hearing and seeing in John 5:37 ? Richard Fix http://www.israelofgod.org has and excellent paper on this SEEN an Heard topic which I am paraphrasing in this article.

3 John 1:11 Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. He who does good is of God, but[a] he who does evil has not seen God. Equating seeing or not seeing to being Good verses Evil. Is this Literal here? Context, and audience, and Literal or figurative must be considered in bible study. Jesus was directing his comments to non believing Jews.

Strong’s Greek Concordance 3708 The word “Seen”

to see with the eyes
to see with the mind, to perceive, know
to see, i.e. become acquainted with by experience, to experience
to see, to look to
to take heed, beware
to care for, pay heed to
I was seen, showed myself, appeared

John 6:46 (NKJV)
46 Not that anyone has seen the Father, except He who is from God; He has seen the Father.    So John here says that the converted ones See, Preceive God

You can read much more on this verse just remember you can’t use a verse that isn’t understood to make doctrinal positions

Unethical behavior

“The Shining Light” blog wrote “The UCG Chairman and President have finally come out with a lightly veiled rebuke of Mark Mickelson and the heresy he is openly teaching; that the God of the Old Testament known to Israel was exclusively God the Father” even though the Bible states that there is only one God and no other.  Isaiah 45:18New King James Version (NKJV)
18
For thus says the Lord,
Who created the heavens,
Who is God,
Who formed the earth and made it,
Who has established it,
Who did not create it in vain,
Who formed it to be inhabited:
“I am the Lord, and there is no other

Isaiah 45:5 New King James Version (NKJV)

I am the Lord, and there is no other;
There is no God besides Me.
I will gird you, though you have not known Me,
“The Shining Light” blog continues “Mark presented a Paper to the UCG Doctrinal Committee on the subject many months ago and has been actively teaching this gross error for well over a year.  I brought this to the attention of Don late last year and Mark’s heretical sermons were removed from the Spokane UCG website.
In the past I have been critical of some things in UCG but in this case UCG is correct; both in the doctrine and in rebuking such unethical behavior”

James Malm, author of “The Shining Light” blog needs to follow Nancy Pelosi’s advice “You have to read the Old Testament before you know whats in it.” Thank you Nancy. This is not a new doctrine before the Doctrinal Committee but all started back in 1994 in response to Joe Thach becoming a Trinitarian. When the Hebrew language and rules of grammar are followed, and one is willing to follow the evidence where it goes without preconceived ideas, then one can grow in grace and knowledge. This blog has many articles on this subject.

To start using the word heretic is a very serious matter before God Almighty!  For which scripture do you bring the charges, I ask? Heb.1:1 The father speaking

Hebrews 1New King James Version (NKJV)
God’s Supreme Revelation
1 God,(Declared the father Only) who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son,  whom He has appointed heir of all things,

Jesus says in John 17:3 “And this is Eternal life that they may know you the Only True God and your son Jesus Christ.”  Wow, did you read Jesus’s very own words?  He’s equating eternal life with knowing the only one who is God, and that is the Father!  Brethren, this is what your Bible says, not what some man wrote in a brochure about what His Corporate Church believes. I could go on, but let’s not forget that being a Christian centers on the fruits of the spirit.  Gal. 5: 19 “Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery,[c] fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders,[d] drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.”

The doctrine of the Nature of God is the most complex and misunderstood doctrine, and Satan’s last stand for concealing the true understanding of Who God is! James 2:19
19 “You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!”  They’re spirit beings and the demons look up into heaven and only see One God on the throne. The bottom line is whether you agree or disagree with one, two, or three Gods (as most Christians are Trinitarians), we must remember that God will judge us by our conduct.  So practice the fruits of the spirit and study the subject with an open mind and allow the spirit to guide us in our understanding.

This foundational doctrine has been presented to the Doctrinal Committee many times over the last 20 years, and every request to discuss the topic in person has been denied. I have emails from Jim Franks from 2004 shutting down any attempt by converted ministers to have a live discussion on the matter. Again to throw around the word heretic at converted brethren is in itself troubling.  Did not Martin Luther face the same inquisition?

The Seed The Promise

The Most High God, thee Eternal Jehovah The father of all and Especially the Father’s first born Son. Would be sacrificed for all Sin, past and present.

Genesis 3:15 The Father Says
And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”

Psalm 89:4
‘Your seed I will establish forever, And build up your throne to all generations.’”

in hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began,
I Cor 15:20 AMP
But now [as things really are] Christ has in fact been raised from the dead, [and He became] the first fruits [that is, the first to be resurrected with an incorruptible, immortal body, foreshadowing the resurrection] of those who have fallen asleep [in death].
1 Corinthians 15:23
But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming.
God states that by one man came Sin and by one man’s obedience comes Eternal Life and forgiveness of Sin.
God created Jesus a little lower than the Angels
Psalm 8:5
For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor.

Hebrews 2:7
You have made him a little lower than the angels; You have crowned him with glory and honor, And set him over the works of Your hands. Wow did you get that The father was the creator Works of YOUR Hands

Death in Adam, Life in Christ

12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned— 13 (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. 15 But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. 16 And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification. 17 For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)

18 Therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.

20 Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, 21 so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Luke 1:55
As He spoke to our fathers, To Abraham and to his seed forever.” Who Spoke to the fathers God or Jesus?

John 7:42
Has not the Scripture said that the Christ comes from the seed of David and from the town of Bethlehem, where David was?”

Hebrews 1:1 New King James Version (NKJV)
God’s Supreme Revelation
1 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, 2 has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things,

Getting from 3 back to 1

Around 1933 the COG made a remarkable departure from three gods to two which flew in the face of mainstream Christianity. In 1994 some ministers made the final step back to 1 God and father of all, by throwing out Church tradition and replacing it with sound and clear approach to scripture. The COG was heading backwards toward 3 gods and the thinkers and the truth seekers found their way to 1 God, but you never heard about it because it was concealed to protect church tradition. A minister was even disfellowshipped over the One God doctrine and breaking with the tradition. You see it wasn’t over scripture, it wasn’t even allowed to be discussed… Whether you agree or disagree with the conclusion, you should be able to have sound biblical debate, especially among the COE. In light of this lets take a fresh look at some of the scriptures in question. John 1:1-14

Tyndale New Testament John 1:1
1In the beginning was that word, and that word was with god: and god was that word. 2The same was in the beginning with god. 3All things were made by it, and without it, was made no thing, that made was. 4In it was life, And life was the light of men, 5And the light shineth in the darkness, and darkness comprehended it not.

The reason the councils and synods took hundreds of years to develop the doctrine of Incarnation is that it is not stated in Scripture, and the verses used to support it can be explained without resorting to a doctrine that bears more similarity to pagan mythology than biblical truth. Teaching the Jews that God came down in the form of a man would have completely offended those living at the time of Christ and the Apostles, and greatly contradicted their understanding of the Messianic Scriptures. As we saw in Chapter 9, this doctrine is derived most prominently from the gospel of John, and in particular from the phrase in John 1:14 (KJV): “And the Word was made flesh….” But was “the Word” synonymous with “the Messiah” in Jewish understanding? Hardly. The Jews would have understood it to mean “plan” or “purpose,” that which was clearly and specifically declared in Genesis 3:15—a “seed” of a woman who would destroy the works of the Devil. This plan of God for the salvation of man finally “became flesh” in Jesus Christ. This verse is not establishing a doctrine of Incarnation contrary to all prophetic expectations, nor a teaching of pre-existence. It is a teaching of God’s great love in bringing into existence His plan to save mankind from their sin.

Luke 1:27-35 Mary. She was promised in marriage to a man named Joseph. Joseph was of the family of David. 28 The angel came to her and said, “You are honored very much. You are a favored woman. The Lord is with you. *You are chosen from among many women.”

29 When she saw the angel, she was troubled at his words. She thought about what had been said. 30 The angel said to her, “Mary, do not be afraid. You have found favor with God. 31 See! You are to become a mother and have a Son. You are to give Him the name Jesus. 32 He will be great. He will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give Him the place where His early father David sat. 33 He will be King over the family of Jacob forever and His nation will have no end.”

34 Mary said to the angel, “How will this happen? I have never had a man.” 35 The angel said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come on you. The power of the Most High will cover you. The holy Child you give birth to will be called the Son of God.

Mary is going to have a baby, she is gong to give birth, to a new child His name will be Jesus, Son, not daughter, of  Who! THE MOST HIGH,  we know from this that the Father only holds the title The Most High.

This is the foundation of all biblical understanding. If you or I don’t understand who is God then you have no foundation to your faith.
yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live

The Missing dimension In the COG

The foundation consist of the footings and then the Slab! It appears to me that the COG of the last 100 years under the leadership of HWA Laid the slab before the footings and to this day has never has never fixed this footing, which the slab then freefloats and is not secured.  When one Starts reading from John 1:1 and says the bible didn’t begin in Genesis 1:1 there are bound to be repercussions later, which is where we find ourselves in May of 2017. I heard a sermon stating that one who denies Jesus deity is the spirit of the antichrist! I was astounded at this accusation. The scripture in 1 John 4:3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. Jesus Christ is the Human Son of the One God and father of all. Jesus is not God because there is only one God and one eternal being, that is the father, the God of the Old and new testament. The one who showed his hind side to Moses and promised he would raise up a prophet not a God from among the Children of Israel, not a pre-existing being in heaven that would become a baby and pass thru the womb of a hand picked woman named Mary. So Jesus tells all of us that God shared with Peter that Jesus was truly his literal son and upon this knowledge he would build his foundation. Yet we ignore because of Church tradition from accepting this concrete fact and therefore we ignore the explicit scriptures that are foundational supporting the One God and Father of all.  1 Tim 2:5For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus. John 17:3 And this is eternal life: [it means] to know (to perceive, recognize, become acquainted with, and understand) You, the only true and real God, and [likewise] to know Him, Jesus [as the] Christ (the Anointed One, the Messiah), Whom You have sent.

Upon this rock/ This Concept. This understanding /The COG is based!!! Why did we get off track?

Peter Confesses Jesus as the Christ

13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”

14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”

15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”

16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church,
